Puedo usar la preposición para después del verbo ir

sí, puedes usar ir + para.
Se puede usar como sinónimo de “hacia”
– Voy para Cádiz.
¿Cuál es la diferencia entre “Voy a Cádiz” y “Voy para Cádiz”?
“Voy para Cádiz” quiere decir que voy hacia Cádiz sin especificar mi destino final. Puede que me quede en otro sitio antes de llegar a Cádiz.
Sin embargo “Voy a Cádiz” quiere decir que mi destino es Cádiz y mi viaje termina allí.

Gracias por tu comentario. En la situación que describes, la segunda frase sería la opción correcta. Quiero ir a Espana a verte.
En español se usa el verbo ir para indicar el movimiento o desplazamiento a un lugar distinto de la posición del hablante. El verbo venir se usa para indicar movimiento o desplazamiento al lugar donde se encuentra el hablante. Por ejemplo, tu amigo que está en España te puede decir: Quiero que vengas a España a verme.

gracias por tu pregunta. Las dos frases son correctas. Lo que pasa es que cambia ligeramente el significado entre una frase y otra.
Tu amigo viaja directamente a Perú.
En este caso tu amigo viaja hacia Perú como destino pero no va directamente a Perú sino hace paradas en otros países o lugares.
